1. Information We Collect

Account Information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and username. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google.

Content. We store content you upload, including photographs of buildings, written impressions, visit logs, wishlists, and collections.

Location Data (Optional). The Service uses your browser's geolocation only to center the map on your approximate area when you grant permission. We do not store your real-time location. Geolocation can be denied without affecting other features.

Photo Metadata. Photographs you upload may contain EXIF data (GPS coordinates, camera model, timestamp). We may read GPS coordinates from EXIF to suggest building locations, but we strip identifying EXIF data before displaying photos publicly.

Usage Data. We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, and timestamps.

Device Information. We may collect browser type, operating system, and IP address for security and analytics purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: (a) provide and maintain the Service; (b) personalize the map and content recommendations; (c) display your content to other users based on your privacy settings; (d) send service-related notifications; (e) improve and develop the Service; (f) ensure security and prevent abuse.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with: (a) other users, as determined by your privacy settings; (b) service providers who help operate the Service (hosting, analytics, email delivery); (c) law enforcement, if required by law.

4. Public and Private Content

Public by default. Visit logs, photographs uploaded to a building page, impressions you write, and the buildings you have favorited are public unless marked private. Your username and profile information are publicly visible.

Private options. You may set wishlist items, individual visit notes, and collections to private. Private content is visible only to you.

Search engine indexing. Public content may be indexed by search engines such as Google.

5. Editorial Access

ArchiRound editors and administrators may access user-submitted building data, suggested edits, and reported content for the purposes of moderation, curation, and dispute resolution. They do not access your private notes or private collections except where strictly necessary to investigate a reported violation.

6. Data Retention

We retain your content for as long as your account is active. You may delete individual posts, photographs, or your entire account at any time. Deleted content is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. Aggregated, anonymized statistics about a building (visit count, total photographs) may be retained after individual data is removed, to preserve the integrity of the public record.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We may use analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. You can control cookie settings through your browser.

8. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and secure server infrastructure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to: (a) access your personal data; (b) correct inaccurate data; (c) delete your account and data; (d) export your data; (e) opt out of non-essential communications. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@archiround.com.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

11. International Users

The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the Service.
