Yesterday
Three hours in and I still hadn't done a full lap. There's that much to look at.
This month
Stairs are kinda the main event.
Bench placement is genius.
Every seam has been thought through twice.
Steel exposed exactly where it should be.
Come for the building, stay for the cafe.
Even the signage is nice.
Bring a book. Stay a while.
I'm not usually moved by buildings but this one got me.
Concrete and timber in steady conversation.
Bronze patina exactly where you want it.
First time I sketched in months.
Not for everyone, but if you're into this kind of thing, go.
Made me slow down without trying to.
