This month
Brought my mom who has zero interest in architecture and she said this is nice and meant it.
Felt like being inside a careful idea, slowly unfolding.
Made me slow down without trying to.
Went on a weekday, perfect.
Lovely, even on a gray day.
September 2026
Best in the morning, before the crowds.
Came for the famous shot, stayed for everything else.
Patina is doing real work here.
One of those places you keep thinking about.
Doesn't try too hard, which is exactly why it works.
Brought a friend and we both went quiet at the same moment.
It changes completely when the light shifts.
First time I sketched in months.
