Felt like the architect was working through something personal.
The handrails are perfect, which sounds ridiculous but you'll see.
There's a moment about two-thirds of the way through where the section opens up and you realize what the architect has been setting up the whole time.
Lighting design here is doing serious work.
Built for the season it's in. I'd love to come back in winter to see how it changes.
Brought my sketchbook. Glad I did.
Generous to the city around it.
Half the work is what they chose not to do.
Section is more interesting than plan.
Generous spaces without being grand.
It changes completely when the light shifts.
Smaller, slower, better than I expected.

Even the staircase is thoughtful.
Photos really don't do it justice.
